The foundation is working to assist numerous other projects throughout Greater Hazleton, including:

Sheppton Mine Disaster: The group is looking to fund the signage for the site of this accident, where two miners were rescued after 14 days underground and another miner was killed in 1963 outside Hazleton.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church: The CAN DO Community Foundation is considering restoring the steeple at this historic building, the only Tyrolean church in the United States. The church, which closed in 2009, is now part of Catholic Social Services. The foundation understands the historic value of the building’s architecture and appearance along one of the entrances to Hazleton.
