A historic marker commemorating the Ferrwood Music Camp being selected for the National Register of Historic Places will be dedicated on Friday, July 14 at the music camp in Drums. The National Register of Historic Places is the official list of the Nation's historic places that have been deemed worthy of preservation.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony which will begin at 4:45 p.m. when the Reverend Anthony Generose and the Reverend Earl Roberts will conduct a brief ceremony to bless the bronze marker. The dedication will be part of a 25th anniversary celebration for the CAN DO Community Foundation, a major supporter of the music camp.
Those attending are encouraged to stay for an open-air concert by the student musicians who will be completing a week at the music camp. That concert will begin 6 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring a folding chair as seating at the band shell is limited.
Ferrwood Music Camp is tucked away in Drums on Middle Road near the Drums Elementary School. The GPS address is: 257 Middle Road, Drums, PA18224.
