The CAN DO Community Foundation awarded Brittney Saccketti a scholarship as part of the foundation’s annual scholarship program.
Saccketti is a senior business major at Penn State Hazleton. A 2011 Hazleton Area High School graduate, she is the daughter of Patricia and Albert Saccketti, Freeland, and is employed part time.
The CAN DO Community Foundation Scholarship was established in 2004 with the objective of supporting students in advancing their educational goals. The foundation aims to nurture young individuals to give back to their community as members in their respective fields and to establish their civic interests.
The scholarship is fully endowed through the generosity of donors. The CAN DO Community Foundation continues to grow its assets and the endowment has grown from numerous sources including the donation of real estate, individual and corporate gifts, memorial donations, foundations and investment income.

The foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of CAN DO and supports worthwhile community projects making a difference and improving the greater Hazleton community.
The scholarship programs have become an objective of the foundation, augmenting projects that focus on improving the quality of life in the Greater Hazleton community through conservation, preservation and reclamation (CPR) breathing new life into the community.
